Lilo and Stich live action was set to make a billion dollars! And to be fair it still might, but reviews have been near universally negative on both sides of the spectrum. The right complains it removes the family part, and it does, and the left complains it's removed all the colonialism and over tourism parts. And it has! Is Disney actually going apolitical?
