Why is it that fun Indie Games are so hard to find on Steam? What tricks to I use to find the hidden gems out there? Is there a hidden treasure trove of games on Steam or is it more like a desert of shovelware and asset flips?

Finding the those diamonds in the rough can be a real challenge. Sometimes word of mouth isn't enough. Streamers tend to all play the same games, and if you want something different, you're out of luck.
