Is = mean one...

I want to talk about the 1611 KJV Bible.
I’m really excited about it! It’s very different from today’s English.

Even hearing people don’t always understand it.

Psalm 83:18 says:

“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most High over all the earth.”

The word “alone” means only one — not two or three.
It says “is”, not “are”. That means one God, not a Trinity.

That makes me think. Hmm…

Today’s English says:

“Your name is Jehovah, and you are the highest over all the earth.”

But the old Bible says Jehovah is alone.

In ASL, we have different signs for Bible,
but I like the one that shows Jehovah is one.

What do you think? 😊
