Man arrested for making false active shooter reports at hospitals

BPD says a man is in custody for making false reports of an active shooter at Memorial Hospital yesterday. According to police, 46-year-old Mario Thompson impersonated a security guard and made the report from inside the hospital. BPD says this is the same person responsible for making false reports of an active shooter at Mercy Southwest Hospital in August.
