Shelby 33 in Sober Living- Had 20 year Run with no sobriety- Starting using drugs and drinking at 15

Meet Shelby- She is 33 years old and in Sober Living. She started using Heroin and Drinking at the age of 15 then was prescribed Xanax. She went 20 years without any sobriety. Becky says today she wakes up and the only thing she has to worry about is her coffee, cigarette and shower, she now shows up to places. AA Meetings and Volunteer work is what keeps her sober, says every day she goes to a Crystal Meth Anonymous and Heroin Anonymous meetings to get her through. She says a lot of people think homelessness is a choice and the allergy of addiction is a choice but it's not. Her hopes for the future are to continue her journey of sobriety and road to recovery, says its never going to end it will be uphill for the rest of her life. Hear Shelby's story here:
