Did the James Webb Space Telescope Detect Signs of Life on K2-18b?

Dr. Nikku Madhusudhan and his team at the University of Cambridge used the James Webb Space Telescope to examine exoplanet K2-18b, 124 light-years from Earth. In its atmosphere, they detected dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide – compounds that, on Earth, are only created by living organisms. It’s not definitive evidence of alien life, but it might be the strongest hint we’ve seen so far.
