My Scary Experience With Caffeine Overload (What You Should Know)

In this video, I talk about a recent experience I had with coffee and tea that honestly scared me and made me rethink how I use caffeine.

I really enjoy coffee and tea, and the idea of cutting them out completely is not easy. I'm not saying I'm going to quit caffeine forever, but after what happened, I might scale it back.

During Lent, I usually give up caffeine as a personal challenge to grow closer to God. This year, I had caffeine every day except Sunday, and it made Sunday coffee and tea feel extra special.

After Lent ended, I went back to having caffeine daily. By the end of the first week, I felt overstimulated. I ignored the warning signs and ended up having way too much caffeine one weekend. What happened next caught me completely off guard.

I was doing a fitness challenge with my son when one of my abdominal muscles cramped hard. It was so painful I thought it might be a heart attack or something tearing inside. I had to sit on the floor while the cramp came and went six times before it finally stopped. That moment really stuck with me. It made me think about what could happen if a muscle like my heart cramped the same way.

This video is for anyone wondering whether caffeine is safe or how much is too much. I’m going to be a lot more careful from now on and pay close attention to how much I’m consuming.
