I had Gordon Pennington on, and he dropped a bombshell about the media! He quoted Roone Arledge saying the Disney buyout of ABC marked the end of investigative journalism, ushering in infotainment. ABC newsroom folks mocked it, wearing Mickey Mouse ears and calling it “ABCD.” Reporters and editors bend to commercial interests, driven by ad dollars. Gordon’s dad warned: “Be wary of holding opinions, or they’ll hold you.”
