Mayor Brandon Johnson admits that he is, in fact, discriminating against whites
In a recent public statement that has sparked national controversy, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson openly admitted that his administration is making policy decisions based on race, deliberately prioritizing Black communities in the city. Although Johnson presents this as a move toward social justice, many see his words as an explicit confirmation of reverse discrimination targeting white citizens, who now face unequal treatment from their own local government.
During a Q&A session, Johnson justified his policy by stating: “Why wouldn’t I speak to Black Chicago? I’d love to. Black Chicago and Black people in America have borne the brunt of the kind of policies, the maneuvers, and the humiliating tactics that come from the federal government right now.” In other words, Johnson not only defends but normalizes using racial criteria to set public administration priorities, arguing that Black communities deserve preferential treatment due to alleged historical grievances.
This type of rhetoric reflects the growing acceptance within the American progressive movement of policies that, far from promoting equality before the law, lean toward a new form of racial segregation — this time led from within the government — and directed against white citizens, who are viewed as collective culprits of past injustices. In a constitutional democracy, this kind of race-based favoritism is not only morally wrong but legally questionable.
The issue goes deeper. Johnson's logic assumes that all suffering in Black communities is the federal government’s fault, ignoring the local failures of decades of Democratic governance in Chicago, which have yielded disastrous results in crime, education, and economic opportunity. Instead of acknowledging these failures, Johnson embraces a narrative that justifies excluding whites from fair access to municipal programs, funds, or benefits.
This stance has serious consequences. First, it erodes public trust in institutions. Second, it deepens racial divisions instead of healing them. And most alarming: it paves the way for other local governments to adopt the same radical approach, turning public policy into a tool of racial revenge disguised as social justice.
Johnson is not acting alone. His rhetoric fits perfectly within the agenda of the Democratic Party’s far-left wing, which sees “equity” as a tool to redistribute resources based on skin color, ignoring the foundational principles of legal equality. This is the institutionalization of resentment, racial collectivism as the new standard, and the destruction of merit as a democratic ideal.
Americans of all races should be alarmed by this trend. The government has no right to reward or punish its citizens based on race. What voters expect from elected leaders is to govern fairly for all, without favoritism or historical revenge. Johnson’s confession is a dangerous sign of where the radical left is headed when allowed unchecked power.
These divisive policies, far from helping Black communities, only generate resentment and polarization — ultimately harming everyone. Real progress is not achieved by replacing one form of discrimination with another, but by ensuring that all citizens, regardless of race, are treated with justice, dignity, and respect.
