Starring Tom Cruise as Dr. Bill Harford and Joseph C. Jukic as Nick Nightingale

INT. ABANDONED FILM THEATER – LATE NIGHT

The projector flickers with no film. Dust dances in the light.
Dr. Bill Harford sits among empty seats, eyes heavy.
Nick Nightingale enters quietly, wearing a vintage Fidelio tux.
He's not here to play piano — he's here to speak.

NICK NIGHTINGALE (Joe Jukic):
You ever wonder why they called it Rainbow Fashions, Bill?

BILL:
It was just a costume shop...

NICK: (shakes his head)
Nah, man.
That was a cathedral.
The rainbow wasn’t about color. It was code.

BILL: (leans forward)
Code for what?

NICK:
The Seven Deadly Sins.
Each color — each mask — each lie.
Stanley tried to tell us. He made the ultimate confession.
And they buried him for it.

FLASH CUT — KUBRICK'S FACE FADED INTO THE RAINBOW SPECTRUM

BILL:
You think they killed him?

NICK:
Not just killed. Crucified.
Stanley Kubrick, man.
But you know what his name was in the old tongue?
In Yugoslavian?

BILL: (shakes his head)

NICK:
KUBRICH.
Sounds like an itch, doesn’t it?

(leans in)
He was the itch in the Empire’s conscience.
A Yugoslav-Austro-Hungarian Jew who died for our Seven Deadly Sins.
Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth…
They were all at that party, Bill.
Every mask. Every sin.

INT. COSTUME SHOP BASEMENT – FLASHBACK

Seven masks. Seven colors. One for each sin.
A young Nick sees Stanley watching through a one-way mirror, taking notes.

BACK TO THE THEATER

NICK:
He called the movie Eyes Wide Shut
Because that’s how we live.
We see everything…
…And still sleep.

BILL: (eyes narrowing)
So what now?

NICK: (pulls out a kaleidoscope and hands it to Bill)
Consult the rainbow.
And when you see your sin…
Confess.

BILL:
To who?

NICK: (smiles, deadly calm)
To yourself.
Because they already know.
