LILO & STITCH Primed to Beat SNOW WHITE’S Total Box Office in Opening Weekend

Lilo & Stitch is set to come out this holiday weekend and is projected to generate more money in just this one weekend than Snow White’s entire theatrical run.

This shouldn’t be surprising since everyone was expecting Snow White to be a huge dumpster fire prior to its release while the news surrounding Lilo & Stitch has been generally positive. Early critic reviews for Lilo & Stitch are not fantastic, but generally positive. Given the budget for Lilo & Stitch it seems to be guaranteed to make money assuming the projections are true. This suggests Snow White didn’t fail because people are tired of live action remakes, people just didn’t like Snow White. However, if the movie is reasonably faithful to the original it will do fine.
