Before you can help others, you have to deal with your own issues (Matthew 7:3-5) - Leviticus Short

We see in Leviticus 9 that before the tabernacle priests could accept the offerings for the people of Israel they had to first make offerings for their own sin. In Matthew 7.3-5 Jesus tells us that we must deal with the "plank" in our own eye, before we can help our friend with the "speck" in their eye.

God can use us at any point in our walk, but if we are to be the most useful to God we must first deal with any sinful habits or practices in our lives, before we attempt to help our brothers with their issues. Get yourself on the right track, then you will be on solid ground to help those around you.

TO NOTE: This is only possible through the work of the Holy Spirit working in your life. Pray and ask God to change you from the inside out.
