Unsecured Debt like credit cards is not really anything to worry about in my opinion.

I am not qualified to instruct anyone in anything, and I am not that smart, so this is for entertainment only. If you get in trouble with unsecured debt, actually you can make it as big or little of a problem as you want to. Debt like car loans, student loans or house loans can be much more of a problem. This video is about unsecured debt which is credit cards to most people. Always respond to anything that comes from a court. Always appear and cooperate with the court if requested by the court. Don't get tricked into changing the terms of your loan for any reason or explain more than you have to. Some people use "I dispute these purchases" as an initial answer to the court during a discovery. The credit card company then may or may not show up to try to prove your purchases etc. You might win right then in court, and I forgot to mention that in the video. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. It's not that hard to deal with unsecured debt. Relax! Nobody is going to break down your door. You're not going to jail. Chill man. In the unlikely chance you end up with a judge helping, remember they will treat you well for having done everything that was asked of you. You can often make deals before you get to the judge if you think you will definitely not win. Find the lawyer for the company that wants to sue you and make a deal if you want. I typically don't recommend that, but some have made deals right in the court room for 25 cents on the dollar. The judge is typically sensitive to how much you agree to pay each month. Typically, you can get excellent terms depending on your economic condition. If all else fails, consider bankruptcy. But remember, you can fix this! One bite at a time. One more thing to remember. You did not agree to any contract with any company that purchases your debt from your credit card. They can not sue you because you have no agreement with them. You do not have to fear them.
