The Buckin’ Billy Ray “Flick” Technique | Preparing Firewood by Hand with an Axe

The Ash Bore beetle came through our area 12-14 years ago and wiped out most of the big ash trees. Saplings are coming back and some of the smaller diameter trees survived, but the ordeal left a bunch of ash firewood for the taking. In this video I show you some of my techniques for using a splitting axe on big rounds of ash firewood.
