How can I Prevent Perfectionism from Impacting my Project? - Diary of a Journeyman - Episode 2

I am Simone, a certified Neurographica instructor, and I want to welcome you to the second episode of a new series, which I have called “Diary of a Journeyman”. This series will document my personal journey, in which I will use Neurographica to solve my problems and to improve my life, one line at a time.
In each video, I will revisit with you the flow of reflection I have produced while making one of my drawings. I will discuss all the conclusions and ideas I have obtained, and all the concrete steps I plan to undertake in my future.

In this video, I used Neurographica to find my solution to this question: how can I deal with perfectionism and prevent it from compromising my success in any project?

It is perfectly normal to have standards for ourselves, for the activities we undertake and for the goals we set for ourselves, and there is nothing wrong if these standards are high because we believe we can succeed.
It is counterproductive, however, if we raise the bar to unreasonable levels, where not even the slightest error is tolerated, regardless of our current level of competence. In this case, we fall into perfectionism, which can anchor itself to us and not allow us to make those mistakes that are crucial for the development of the skills we need to achieve our goals.
With this drawing, I have chosen to confront my perfectionism, and I have learned some very important lessons about its nature and what leads it to emerge so overbearingly in my life.
