Robert Smith's Top 30 of the Eighties (1980s)

Robert Smith of The Cure guides us through 30 influential songs from the eighties. These tracks churned through his mind into making his own sound. Some songs are deep and moody, others are just there to dance to. Others, like Yoko Ono's "Walking on Thin Ice" give me nightmares.
Nice to hear Robert give his thoughts on each track. There are some familiar hits in his selections, some songs are things you'd have only heard in London at the time. I never imagined him listening to Bananarama or Chaka Khan.
