It aint a bug , it's how the game was made to be. So that people would play the other 2 paths with different 'builds'

You could ofcourse use it to increase to boost your stats but it will not allow you to unlock the 100% attributes achievement.
This goes for +15 strength or +6 warhammer of the Titanlord hammer.

If you want purely EXP then spawn the potions.
If you need GOLD for the Gold Achievement then spawn the Bruggle Weed instead.
But you could also just sell the EXP Potions afterwards.

8k pots is about 10k gold.
Be sure though to first save and reboot the game after cheating the potions.
Or the cheevo's will not trigger.
