Lama Dawa Zangpo’s Commentary:
Basically this boils down to walking the talk and practicing what we preach, as we say. So, it's very easy to admire a teaching, a philosophy, but if we don't put it into practice, then as the Buddha says, there's not much point to that, there's no real benefit. So, any philosophy or spiritual path is not meant to be just on the outside and for show. The real point is to affect change within ourselves. That's the importance. So that way the words and the meaning come together like a flower that's beautiful and has a wonderful smell as well.
