Camping on the Beach in Türkiye… Then Stopped by Police the Next Day

We wild camped right on the beach in Türkiye and it was one of the most magical (and unexpected) nights of the trip so far. After a sweaty day of walking through tunnels and hiking up steep hills in the sun, we finally made it back to the Black Sea coast, just in time for a gorgeous sunset.

We set up camp on the sand in Filyos, hoping for a quiet night… but instead, we were joined by a pack of stray dogs who ended up guarding us all night! It was so surreal waking up to the sound of waves and a bunch of friendly dogs ready to walk with us the next morning.
