Jaipur: Violent Clash Over Land Dispute in Hanuman Vatika Colony, Several Injured

A land dispute turned violent on Sunday (18/05/2024) afternoon in Hanuman Vatika Colony under Kanota police station in Jaipur. The clash between two groups—led by Saurabh Meena and Uday Singh Gurjar—resulted in heavy stone pelting and lathi-charge, leaving several injured. Multiple vehicles and homes were also damaged in the violence.

Tension escalated when Uday Singh objected to construction work being carried out by Saurabh Meena, claiming the land in question belonged to him. The dispute intensified as both sides clashed with sticks and stones, and one person was even seen brandishing a weapon, sparking panic in the colony.

Police reached the scene promptly and brought the situation under control. Cross FIRs have been registered against both parties. According to SHO Himmat Singh, the matter is under investigation and security has been tightened in the area.
