This puppy with rickets was abandoned to die at the border!

Ricky was only a few months old and due to malnutrition his bones were deformed from rickets. Imagine not feeding a puppy, or giving him bread alone to eat. He was hardly able to walk when wet first rescued him. Vitamins and minerals did not cure him, but they helped a bit. At a year old he can walk now, but with difficulty. In time he will develop arthritis and he will be on pain medications for life. But he's happy here and with our on-site hospital he will always be care for on a daily basis. Poor little angel.
