Patrick Allard is a courageous Manitoban freedom fighter who is suing the provincial NDP for defamation! Furthermore, the trial is going on right now!

Patrick Allard ran as in Independent in the Manitoba by-election that replaced former Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister. This by-election was also notable given that two former Winnipeg Blue Bombers were also running - one for the Manitoba Liberals, and the other for the Manitoba Progressive Conservative party. Patrick tells me that during the by-election he was invited to participate in an all-candidates debate, but the NDP put out a press release saying the debate would give Patrick Allard a platform to spout "anti-vaccination and racist rhetoric".

For Patrick the idea that they would try to tie him to racism as an attempt to silence his voice against government abuses during COVID was too much. He likened it to the time when Justin Trudeau made similar comments about other Canadians who were skeptical of COVID mandates.

His lawyer called it "brutal defamation" and he decided to take them to court to stop this kind of bullying. He has a five day trial this week where he is suing them for defamation.

Patrick has already made a name for himself in Manitoba as a freedom fighter. He was ticketed 16 times for not following COVID mandates, and arrested twice. One memorable arrest is when he made a post about the Winnipeg Blue Bombers who were refusing to allow the unvaccinated to attend games. He suggested they "block the road" to protest the segregation. Even though such an event never happened, he says the Major Crimes Unit came to his house and pulled him from his hot tub because people might show up to protest.

This was the kind of abuse Patrick had to deal with. He also furthered multiple charter challenges against the covid mandates in the courts with other notable Manitoba freedom fighters called the Manitoba Five. They are so named as being the five Manitobans arrested for COVID related infractions.

For these COVID infractions he has to pay $35,000 in fines.

Patrick is funding this lawsuit and these fines all by himself. Please click below to help him out:
