Moody’s Downgrade, Big Beautiful Bill, Omnibus Bill, US Debt Crisis

Moody’s downgraded the US credit rating to Aa1 from Aaa, citing a $36 trillion debt and rising interest costs, marking the first such cut in over a century. The House Budget Committee narrowly passed Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” (17-16), adding $5 trillion to the debt, with Representatives Chip Roy, Ralph Norman, Andrew Clyde, and Josh Brecheen voting “present” to advance it to the Rules Committee. The omnibus bill, needing approval from all 12 appropriations committees, remains opaque, with efforts to embed America First priorities ongoing. Critics argue it merely delays the debt ceiling crisis, with no real spending cuts. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called Moody’s a “lagging indicator,” blaming Biden’s policies. Elon Musk’s DOGE initiative highlights fraud, waste, and abuse, but Congress, led by Mike Johnson and John Thune, avoids meaningful spending reforms, risking fiscal collapse as interest payments near tax anticipation levels.

There are 12 appropriations committees. They have to vote out of every committee to put it together to push the omnibus bill and no one knows what is in it. There is not a solution to the debt ceiling. The Big Beautiful Bill increases the debt by $5T. This bill is not a solution, it is kicking the can down the road. And Trump should be able to trust Mike Johnson and John Thune. We have done everything we can to remove the fraud, waste and abuse. We have left the clean up to Mike Johnson and John Thune. 6.7% deficit over and above GDP (tax anticipation). The government does a tax anticipation for the lenders and investors. What we are doing is buying from the federal reserve is future tax anticipation. The spending is way out of whack. Soon our interest payment will equal our tax anticipation, it will not end well, becoming de facto bankrupt. DC knows we are broke. BKP has sounded the alarm for years now, the US cannot afford all these illegals that came into the country through the Biden administration. California is facing a $12B deficit. When did Walmart become America? Walmart has a fiduciary duty to talk to their stockholders. They could be sued if they mislead their stockholders. When they give an earnings call they have to give all possible predictions. If tariffs go up they may have to change pricing or change where they order products from. But all of a sudden they are America. Walmart is the largest corporation in the world that receives corporate welfare. They shouldn't raise the prices on anything with the amount of welfare they receive. If there were no subsidies or government grants Walmart would have to pay people an appropriate wage. It is all about the earnings by Walmart.
Never a talk about cuts in spending, only taxes for the rich. Never talk about the fraud, waste and abuse that Elon Musk and DOGE have exposed.
