11
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services advises residents and visitors to avoid foam on Michigan’s lakes, rivers and streams due to potential contamination. The foam often accumulates in areas like bays, eddies and near dams. Some foam may contain high levels of PFAS, which has been linked to health issues such as high cholesterol and liver damage.
