Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 is a 2001 fighting game developed and published by Capcom. It is the sequel to Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 and an entry in the SNK vs. Capcom crossover series. The game was originally released on NAOMI hardware in arcades, with Sega handling the American arcade release. It was later ported to various home consoles, including the Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox. The GameCube and Xbox versions received an updated version titled Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO (Easy Operation in Japanese releases and Extreme Offence in European releases), which included minor gameplay changes and additional characters. The arcade version was re-released in 2025 as part of Capcom Fighting Collection 2.

Gameplay
Capcom vs. SNK 2 features a roster of 48 playable characters, including returning fighters and new additions from various Capcom and SNK games. The game introduces a flexible Ratio system, allowing players to select up to three characters and assign each a number from one to four, determining their relative strength. The total team ratio must not exceed four. This system replaces the fixed team compositions of the first game, offering more strategic depth.

The game is based on the three-strength, six-button system of punches and kicks, native to the Street Fighter series, with SNK characters adjusted to fit this system. Players can choose from six different fighting styles called "Grooves," each mimicking other Capcom and SNK games. These Grooves affect the character's Super Gauge system and special techniques, such as dashes, running, and guard cancels.
