I find many building owners who are not aware of the 2017 OSHA Walking-Working Surfaces Act.
Does it make sense to use a simple 5-Step process to get compliant?
Let’s look at the process:
Make sure access to the roof is made safe.
Secure the roof hatch opening to eliminate the fall hazard.
Provide walkways to guide employees to where they must work.
Provide railings at any equipment within 15 feet of a leading edge.
Provide complete railings when needed.
