AI Speaks for the Dead: Justice or Deception?

AI was used to generate a video of a dead man delivering a victim impact statement in court. But he didn’t write it, his sister did. While the judge was moved, many are disturbed. A man who can no longer speak had words put in his mouth by someone else. Is this justice, or is it crossing a line we shouldn’t cross? When AI replaces the dead, who’s really in control of the narrative?
