GT beat DC by 10 wkts in 60th Match of IPL-25 in Delhi

The 60th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Gujarat Titians and Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitely Stadium Delhi on 18th May, 2025. In this match Gujarat Titians defeated Delhi Capitals by 10 wickets. In this match Gujarat Titians won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Delhi Capitals while batting first scored 199 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 200 runs to Gujarat Titians to win. In reply Gujarat Titians played superbly and scored 205 runs without losing any wicket in 19 overs and won the match by 10 wickets.
While batting first Delhi Capitals started very cautiously with new opening pair Faf du Plesis and KL Rahul batting on merit of the ball and added only 16 runs in 3.2 overs. Faf du Plesis was first to go out caught by Mohd Siraj of the bowling of Arshad Khan after scoring 5 runs from 10 balls.
The other opener KL Rahul with Abshiek Porel played their heart out and added 90 runs from 52 balls for the second wicket and laid solid foundation for the big total. Abishek Porel was second wicket to fall after scoring quickfire 30 runs from 19 balls hitting 1 four and three sixes. He was caught by Jos Butler of the bowling of Sai Kishore.
Then KL Rahul with captain Axar Patel continued good work of batting and added 45 runs from 26 balls for the third wicket. Axar Patel was third wicket to fall after scoring 25 runs from 16 balls hitting two fours and one six. Patel was caught by Sai Kishore of the bowling of Prasidh Krishna.
KL Rahul played beautifully and again with Tristan Stubbs added unbeaten 48 runs from 22 balls for the fourth wicket and ensured big total of 199 runs for the loss of three wickets for Delhi Capitals.
KL Rahul sored his fifth IPL century and remained not on 112 runs from 65 balls hitting 14 fours and 4 towering sixes. Tristan Stubbs remained not out on 21 runs from 10 balls hitting two sixes.
For GT bowlers could not do much and One wicket each was taken by Siraj ,Arshad Khan and Sai Kishore. Delhi Capitals managed to score 199 runs for the loss of three wickets in twenty overs.
In reply GT scored 205 runs for no loss in 19 overs and won the match by 10 wickets. Gujarat chasing huge target of 200 runs to win, it looked at the halfway that there will be a close contest of game but Gujarat Openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan made it a one sided affair.
Both the openers played classic cricket and carried the bat through the innings and won the match for the team comfortably by 10 wickets. Sai Sudharsan scored his second IPL century and remained not out on 108 runs from 61 balls which included 12 fours and two sixes.
The other opener Shubman Gill also remained not out on 93 runs from 53 balls hitting 3 fours and seven sixes
Gujarat scored 205 runs without any loss of wicket and won the match by 10 wickets. Sai Sudharsan was adjudged the Player of the Match. With this win three Teams Gujarat Titians , RCB and Punjab qualified for the playoffs.
