S-300V1: More than air defence

Ukraine has brought out something few have - the good old S-300V1. 100 km range, high accuracy. These systems are few and far between, so every hit counts.

This complex can do a lot. It's not just the planes. It can also handle ballistic missiles. It has two different missiles - the smaller and faster 9M83, the larger and more powerful 9M82. The bigger one? That one can handle targets high in the stratosphere.

The radar picks up several targets at once and sends the data to the missile, which then guides itself. It's an old system, but still dangerous. And when it hits, it hurts.
