Our search for answers takes a major turn as we finally establish contact with Rime—where Atrus is—but a brutal storm cuts communication short. Meanwhile, both of the prison Ages appear empty… the brothers are gone.

We soon learn they’ve headed to Serennia, the same Age where Yeesha got her crystal—and things are spiraling. Is Yeesha kidnapped? Are Sirrus and Achenar working together now? Or is Achenar trying to stop Sirrus from doing something catastrophic?

We thought Achenar was redeemed. We knew Sirrus was a loose cannon. But now? We’re not sure who’s telling the truth… and who’s about to stab someone in the back.
