Numbers 21

In this chapter, enemies are attacking Israel and God is fighting with His people, and they're winning battles. The people are still complaining from time to time, but it seems like they've matured at this time that they've been in the wilderness.

They're accepting their responsibility for the penalty of their sins, which is an improvement. They're close to the promised land, and taking possession of the land, so they're close to entering! How much time has passed? With the book of Numbers so far, it's hard to say how much time has passed, but with their proximity to the promised land, it's likely been a few decades.

How can we honor God today, and obey Him? Does living obediently have blessings that sin does not?
