Alien child: Elder, why do you always watch the hoomans so closely before you approach them?

Elder: They are called humans, youngling. Pronouncing their race correctly will make it more likely they treat you seriously and not as a youngling fresh out of the creche.

AC: Yes elder.

Elder: Humans are called Death Worlders because their homeworld is a nightmare to many species. Dangerous flora and fauna, extreme meteorogical and geological events, and areas so dangerous even the humans have never fully explored them.

But I believe that they deserve the designation for a different reason. Death walks amongst them, literally.
