Episode 237: “Not Just Another Silent Night”

WE get to spend some time visiting a whole lot with Joey James on this episode. Joey is near and dear to our hearts. He has been there, and he writes music in the form of storytelling, like the good ole country songs. He spreads the message of care, kindness, and respect between each other. Lend a hand, an ear, or whatever you can do to help your neighbor. He wants to bring storytelling back to mainstream Nashville country music again. His first song is titled Another Silent Night!!! This is a hauntingly beautiful song. Everything is going on around you and when you’re in your head it’s just another silent night. When he writes these songs as a means of therapy, it is so very impactful when someone at a show will connect with one of his songs. His second song is titled, Shut Up And Shoot!!! It’s about a guy who’s got his heart broken and can’t stop talking about it, but whiskey makes the memories go away. So shut up and shoot another shot!!! His last song of the night was titled, Folded Flags!!! This one is about a person flying a flag in an old folks home. They tried to find out who the flag belonged to and they never could.
