📝 Ingredients
For the cake:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

1 ¾ cups granulated sugar

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

4 large eggs

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

For the topping:

4 cups mini marshmallows

½ cup unsalted butter

⅓ cup milk

¼ cup cocoa powder

1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar (about 3 ¾ cups)

1 tsp vanilla extract

🍰 Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add flour, salt, and vanilla. Mix until combined. Fold in nuts if using.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

Immediately top with mini marshmallows and return to oven for 2–3 minutes, until soft but not browned.

Let cool slightly while you make the fudge icing.

🍫 For the Icing:
In a saucepan, melt butter, then add milk and cocoa powder. Bring to a simmer while stirring.

Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.

Pour warm icing evenly over the marshmallows.

Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
