May 18, 2025, Ephesians 4:14-15, "Cardinal Doctrines of the Christian Faith" (Live, No Music)

Streamed on:

Ephesians 4:14-15, stable doctrine of Christ

[1. Deity of Jesus Christ]
John 1:1, Genesis 1:1, the 2nd person in the Holy Trinity, and the Word became flesh (Jesus Christ)

John 14:6-9, 2 Corinthians 5:19-21, Jesus also had to become fully man, so He could go and die on the cross, and complete His plan to redeem mankind

[2. Virgin birth of Christ]
Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, the virgin birth of Christ and incarnation of Christ. The sin seed comes from a biological father, and Christ did not have a biological father on Earth.

[3. Sinless life of Christ]
Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:25-27, the sinless intercessor born of a virgin
Hebrews 4:14, Romans 5:14, this is NOT talking about the unitarian belief. Adam caused all mankind to be under the curse of sin, and Jesus caused all mankind to be under grace: those who accepted Jesus' sacrifice on the cross would be forgiven (all men are NOT saved, unless they accept Jesus Christ- salvation is offered to all mankind, NOT automatically given to all mankind)

[4. Victorious death on the cross]
Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24, why Jesus Christ's blood had to be shed
2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 2:2, this is NOT talking about unitarians. This euphemism is a state of mind. People may enter into God's salvation, but it does not happen automatically without people willfully coming to Christ.
1 Cor 15:24-30, Genesis 3:21, sin and death reigned until Christ came and appeased the wrath of God

[5. Resurrection of Christ on the 3rd day]
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, the Romans could hang anyone on the cross, but Christ alone rose from the grave 3 days later, and that was the sign of authenticity
Matthew 12:40, Jesus Christ specifically claimed the manner of His resurrection, and it came to pass

[6. Salvation is by grace by faith]
Ephesians 2:8, Titus 3:4-7, salvation is unmerited favor- a gift from God

[7. Eternal security of the believer]
John 3:15-16, will any believer in Christ perish?
John 10:27-29, Hebrews 12:6-8, nothing can destroy God's adoption of a child (believer). There is a difference between a broken relationship and broken fellowship.
Ephesians 1:13-14, God's possession on layaway: the Holy Spirit is the earnest; God would have to deny Himself in order to deny His possession

Ephesians 4:14-15, doctrine includes the 7 non-negotiable doctrines mentioned above
