Taco Bell Nacho Fries recipe you can make right at home — crispy, seasoned fries with bold spices and a creamy nacho cheese sauce!

🌮 Taco Bell Nacho Fries (Copycat Recipe)
🥔 Ingredients for the Fries:
4 large russet potatoes (or use frozen straight-cut fries)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt to taste

🧀 Ingredients for Nacho Cheese Sauce:
2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk (warm)

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (mild or sharp)

1/4 cup pickled jalapeño juice (for Taco Bell-style flavor)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Pinch of salt

🔪 Instructions
1. Prep the Fries:
Peel and cut potatoes into thin fries. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

Toss fries in oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne, and salt.

2. Bake or Fry:
Bake: Spread fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air Fryer: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes.

Deep Fry: Fry in hot oil (350°F/175°C) until golden brown, 3–4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

3. Make the Nacho Cheese Sauce:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in warm milk until smooth. Simmer until slightly thickened (2–3 minutes).

Stir in shredded cheese, jalapeño juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until melted and smooth.

🍽️ Serve
Place seasoned fries on a plate, drizzle with warm nacho cheese sauce, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping. Add extra toppings if desired: jalapeños, sour cream, or seasoned beef!
