Form on leg extensions 💦

1- Set the back-pad of the machine at the lowest setting so you can literally lean back while you do your reps. This targets the rectus femoris part of the quads (the cool lookin muscle between the junction of the teardrop and the outer sweep, towards the top of your leg), while still stimulating the rest of the quad just as much as a "normal"/"leaning forward while doing the reps would do. Leaning back basically means extra gains here🤙

2- Sure you can hit failure while leaning back and then go right into the leaning forward posture and go to failure again because the leaning forward type form allows more core involvement to a degree so the reps become a little easier to do as compared to leaning back. Try that if you are a psychopath and don't want to be able to walk for the next few days. That's totally up to you ❤️

3- Don't f*** around too much with twisting & turning ur knees by pointing your toes to different directions to hit different parts of the quads because your knees are already at a pretty vulnerable position while doing leg extensions, especially if you don't go to full depth on your squat based movements. (That also means that you're a bish btw, just an FYI 🌝)
If you really want to target the teardrops, just spread your legs slightly so that your knees are pointing in different directions like a "Y". For focusing on the outer sweep, keep your legs as close as possible throughout the set. This puts the sweeps in a pre-stretched position, driving more of the stimulus towards them.🍗

4- As with every other exercise, aggressive concentrics, hold the squeeze, slow eccentrics, hold the stretch( if your machine doesn't hit a dead end at the bottom of your range of motion, mine does so I just hold it for a fraction of a second and go to the next rep) ✨
