Cheddar Reservoir, also known as Axbridge Reservoir, is a man-made lake situated in Somerset, England, nestled between the town of Axbridge and the village of Cheddar. Constructed in the 1930s by Sir Robert McAlpine, the reservoir was designed to supply water to the surrounding areas and has since become a notable landmark in the region .
