1995 Showtime Ads: A Time Capsule of TV Marketing (Outer Limits Behind the Scenes Promo)

This 1995 Showtime preview is brought to you by bearded John Voigt and random pretty blond lady (Debbie Joyner?). Maybe they gave her name earlier in the preview? We also have some delightful 90s TV channel flipping about a minute and a half in, then back to this. This was the most interesting thing on TV in 1995.

We have a special behind the scenes look at the Showtime version of the 90s The Outer Limits TV show (The Conversion directed by Rebecca De Mornay). This is when the channel flipping begins and we see the prevue channel and the 1995 date. Just more of the 90s TV goodness brought to you by your pal, Junknasium! They later show a clip of “Twisted Puppet Theater” but that didn’t air until July of 1996. (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0966527/) So this 1995 promo was probably later in the year.

The whole preview is very 90s, from the music to the clothes. Plus they have a sweet Showtime phone number jingle to enjoy. Sweet.
