did Jesus lie to his brothers in John 7 verse 8 to 10 in the Bible in the New Testament where you said that you would not go up to the festival to his disciples because it was not this time yet and later in the verse, it says that he went up secretly. This is a common objection Muslims in atheist bring up in order to prove that the Bible contradicts itself, and that Christians are right, but in this video as Sam Shamoun shows the earliest many scripts contain the word yet meaning that when you said he would not go up yet it was the show that he will not show up their publicly because the religious leaders would try to condemn them there which is why you went secretly in order to not cause a scene showing that there is no contradiction, and that Jesus did not lie because the earliest manuscript show that this is what Jesus meant and in the later copies doesn’t show a conviction either because Jesus is talking about a certain type of going up meaning publicly in groups.
