“Old People Crying. No One Listened in Canada’s Favorite Charity”:
This song is inspired by real events happening right now — as of May 17, 2025 — inside a Salvation Army–run assisted living building on Kerr Street in Vancouver, Canada.
It began when a male tenant spoke up.
Not violently. Not aggressively. Just truthfully.
His only “crime”?
Telling the police that a female tenant — his friend — was telling the truth about being sexually harassed.
Management knew what to do.
The Salvation Army called an ambulance and claimed he was mentally unstable.
He was taken to the psychiatric ward.
But the hospital sent him back the very same day, saying:
“There’s nothing we can do. You don’t qualify for help.”
The next morning — broken, alone, crying quietly in the coffee room.
That’s where this song begins. But it doesn’t end there.
She was telling the truth.
He backed her up.
And now both are being threatened with eviction —
Not the one accused. Not the ones who ignored the harassment.
Just the ones who refused to stay silent.
This is what happens when honesty gets punished, and charity forgets compassion.
When money rules, and the vulnerable get erased.
That’s why this video matters.
Because silence helps no one.
Thank you for watching. If this moved you, please share it.

“This is what happens when charity becomes big business.”
The vulnerable suffer. The powerful stay silent.
Canada, we can do better.
