The Lion of the tribe of Judah is worthy to open the scroll alone. Revelation 5 introduces Messiah’s throne, His authority, power, and worthiness to be savior. John declared these in this chapter.

Israel expected the Messiah to appear as a conquering Lion. Yeshua came as a Lamb, as John the baptizer revealed
in John 1:29. The Lamb who had been slaughtered but was now standing refers to His death and resurrection.

It is from this description that the people of Israel rejected Yeshua the Messiah. They expected their Messiah to be their omnipotent King who would liberate them from Rome. Instead, Yeshua offered His invisible Kingdom.

However, the Old Covenant prophets revealed beforehand that Yeshua would come as both the Lion and the Lamb. That time is coming and His wrath will begin. That time begins to unfold after Revelation 5.
