The Mooch! Mystery Big Band 2

Recording a big band live with limited equipment is surely challenging.

On this recording I had almost double musicians on stage than I had mics and channels on the mixing board for them all. So I had to spread things around some to make a recording like this one.

Notice how I used the banjo as a central instrument for all others to kind of play around the banjo. I made it more prominent in the mix and it kind of turned out nicely if I do say so myself.

This recording is straight off the stage. No editing. No additions or overdubs. Nothing. Just a straight up live performance I captured on tape decades ago. Many of the players are more than likely long since dead and gone. I wish I could name them all. Some great players all mixed up in here. Some well known from famous careers in other big bands.

I can't identify the band, or band members or details to avoid legal issues with any artists.
