Chasse- Leap- Jump with visual cues for coordination

Complex coordination combinations like a leap series can be confusing for littles. Believe me, I've tried demonstrating, slow-motion follow-along, etc. but the second they don't have a person to watch their brain forgets what comes next. Using mat set-ups with visual cues helps guide them through the sequence without me having to guide them every step of the way.

For this, we spent some time learning our chasses, leaps, and hurdle-punches (as opposed to two "bunny hops"). After that, we just put them together in order with the mats & hula hoop to help them remember what happens when.

Please note, this was their first day trying this set up. We weren't working on form, just foot patterns since their 5yo brains can only handle one thing at a time. Form work will come later.
