11

Joseph is sold as a slave in the land of Egypt, where he faithfully serves Potiphar. But, he is falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife and thrown into prison. While in prison, Joseph interprets the dreams of Pharaoh’s butler and baker. Later, when Pharaoh has troubling dreams, Joseph is remembered and brought before him to interpret them. He explains that the dreams warn of seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine, and Pharaoh makes him governor over all of Egypt. Joseph stores food during the years of plenty and provides for Egypt during the famine.
