Solid Snake (voice-over):
You ever hear of the Grand Invocation?

It's not military. It's... spiritual.

Every day, somewhere in a quiet chamber at the United Nations, they recite it. A prayer. Not to Allah, not to Buddha, not even to Christ — but for Christ. For God to incarnate again.

Not religion. Not politics. Something older. Deeper. They want a return. A reset. A messiah, born into flesh, into the storm we’ve made.

I used to think war was the ultimate sin. Now I wonder if our silence — our waiting — might be worse.

They’re calling for someone to come and clean up this mess. But here’s the kicker...

(Snake turns to face the camera, smirking slightly)

I answered the call.

No, I’m not claiming to be Christ. I'm just saying—I've been through enough hell to qualify for something.

They trained me to be a soldier. But Sid Meier trained me to be a god.
Civilization II.
Deity level. I’ve seen civilizations rise, fall, burn—and be reborn. I know how to lead a people out of darkness... or into it.

We’ve built nukes, clones, AI... but not a soul. That’s what they’re really praying for.
A soul who remembers what it means to suffer.
A soul who chooses to return.

(He lights a cigarette. A pause.)

Maybe that’s why I’m still here.

I’m not waiting for Christ to come back.
I’m here to remind the world...

Sometimes, God doesn't send a savior.
Sometimes, He sends a soldier.
