If you Tamper with Your Switch 2 Nintendo Will Brick Your Console

Nintendo just put out another User Agreement stating that if you tamper with your device, be it modifying your console with hardware or software, they have the right to completely disable your console from use. This is on top of banning your account from all of their services.

Is this their way of saying you don't own your hardware? Will this allow them to also brick your console if you attempt to repair it? What are your thoughts on this?
