Tripping on Travel: June 2019 Re-Edit, Quinebaug River Water Trail, Pomfret, CT

As it turns out, I visited today (May 14, 2025) a kayak launch point, upstream, on the Quinebaug River Water Trail located in Putnam, Connecticut. This will be my next production, and will be uploaded in a week or two. The re-edit of the 2019 footage in this video, is almost entirely consumed by the sounds and features of human development. At the same time, I removed dialogue in the original footage. I don't want people or their voices in my videos. I decided to share the actual sounds of that Pomfret location at the time I took the footage. Very little, of which, involves birds or nature. The scenery is pleasant enough. In fact, when I pointed the camera away from the adjacent Rt 101 traffic, much less audio is heard than when I point the camera away from the river and toward the parking lot. I also made sure to better include the power lines, which are also adjacent to the Pomfret location. Between the power lines and the traffic noise from Rt 101, the natural sounds and beauty of the location become almost mute. Background music has been added in some segments. But you will have moments when the footage demonstrates the pleasant sounds, in contrast to the traffic.
