Disney Abu Dhabi Theme Park proves prophet wins over pride

Well this is a touchy subject but I take it nobody wants to address the elephant in the room. And since it’s Disney why not just call it Dumbo. And the big Dumbo is asking if global brands like Disney should be involved ethically as well as economically when making decisions. As always I am not leaning either way. I simply point out it’s interesting that a brand that openly supports the LGBTQ community seems morally flexible when it comes to prophet. Building a new theme park in Abu Dhabi raises some questions considering the region’s harsh views on LQBTQ lifestyles. None of our business you say? The problem is Disney also applies this to their content, as well as altering it depending on the country. Well…let’s unpack that ! All that and more on this episode of The Ugly Truth.
