About the Prostate:
The prostate is a walnut-sized gland in men, about 3-4 cm in diameter and weighing 20-30 grams, per the National Cancer Institute. It sits below the bladder, in front of the rectum, and surrounds the urethra (the tube carrying urine and semen through the penis). The prostate produces seminal fluid for sperm, playing a key role in reproduction. Its size can grow with age or conditions like prostate cancer, often leading to surgery.
